PQube 3 Power Quality Analyzer
Powerside PQube 3 is a compact Class A power quality analyser, revenue-grade energy meter and real-time power monitoring platform for critical electrical systems.
It records power quality disturbances, energy use, high-frequency events, harmonics, supraharmonics, environmental data and process parameters in one integrated device. It works like a black box for the electrical system, capturing what happened, when it happened and how the system responded.
Product Overview
PQube 3 is designed for critical facilities and industrial sites where power quality events can cause trips, downtime, damaged equipment, nuisance faults or production losses. It provides compliant power quality measurements, waveform capture, event reports and long-term trend information.
It is suitable for manufacturing plants, semiconductor facilities, data centres, hospitals, utilities, commercial buildings, airports, water infrastructure, renewable energy systems, UPS systems and other critical electrical installations.
Why PQube 3 Matters
Many sites only know that equipment tripped. PQube 3 helps show whether the event was caused by voltage sag, swell, interruption, transient, harmonics, frequency shift, external utility condition or internal site behaviour.
- Power event black box
- Root-cause evidence
- Class A compliance
- Waveform capture
- Energy monitoring
- Automated reports
- Critical facility visibility
Typical Monitoring Workflow
PQube 3 continuously monitors the electrical network, records disturbances, creates event files and reports, and makes the information available through web access, email, industrial protocols or monitoring platforms.
Key Features at a Glance
Power Quality Monitoring
PQube 3 records power quality events with waveform and RMS detail, enabling practical root-cause analysis. It is suitable for both permanent monitoring and portable investigation.
| Power Quality Function | Purpose / Value |
|---|---|
| Voltage Sags / Dips | Records short-duration voltage reduction events that can cause machine trips, PLC resets, VFD faults and production interruption. |
| Voltage Swells | Records short-duration overvoltage events that can affect sensitive electronics, power supplies and control systems. |
| Interruptions | Captures short or long interruptions and stores event records for investigation. |
| Frequency Events | Records over-frequency and under-frequency events for grid and generator-related investigations. |
| Harmonics | Measures voltage and current harmonics according to IEC 61000-4-7 Class 1, up to the 50th harmonic. |
| Flicker | Supports flicker measurement according to IEC 61000-4-15. |
| Unbalance | Supports voltage and current unbalance measurements using IEC, GB and ANSI methods. |
| Supraharmonics | Measures conducted emissions in the 2kHz to 150kHz range. |
| High-Frequency Impulses | Detects and records high-frequency impulse events up to 4MHz. |
